art and cooking

The crafts testify of the extraordinary
creativity and the cheerfulness of the Mexicans.
Very skillful, Indians master the pottery, the weaving,
the embroidery, the silversmith's trade, the work
of the wood and the ceramic.

Rare
are buildings in grey and women dressed in black,
because the warm colors meet themselves on the clothing
dresses and on the walls. |
The cooking is also colored with rustic flats
on base of corn, vegetables and meats, raised
from spied on sauces.
A good Mexican day cannot start without devouring
tacos, tamales, chilaquiles
and the other huevos at the mexicana.
In the evening, a good beer of the country or
an alcohol on base of cactus (tequila, mezcal),
is always appreciated.

Music
and holidays
|

marimbas, Palenque
|
In
Mexico, one hear musicians at any time in the
street, on places or in transport.
The most typical are the groups of marimbas
(xylophones) and the formings of mariachis
(violinists, trumpeter, guitarists and singers,
disguised as cowboy).
|
Every
day, some part in Mexico, we celebrate a holy
or the other thing.
The rave-up is especially local but some are national
as those celebrating the independence,
the virgin Guadalupe and the All Souls'
Day.
For this last one, the popular faith wants that
the deaths return to the All Saints' Day, among
the alive, to accept offerings and find the heat
of the close relations. In this peaceful and joyful
holiday, heads of death in sugar are eaten by
the children.
